Online Math Tutoring & Intervention Services

More than Math Support - A Path to Confidence and Independence

At A to Z Learning,

I provide personalized math intervention designed to support students who are struggling with math despite their effort and potential. My work centers on identifying and addressing the underlying skill gaps that make math feel confusing, frustrating, or overwhelming.

It Starts With Understanding

As a math interventionist, I begin by assessing each student’s understanding of math to determine where learning has broken down. From there, I create individualized lessons that rebuild essential skills step by step, allowing students to develop a stronger, more confident relationship with math.

Everyone Learns Differently

I work with many students who have ADHD, autism, and other learning differences. Because of this, sessions are intentionally structured yet flexible, with attention given not only to academic growth but also to emotional regulation, task persistence, and confidence building. Lessons incorporate hands-on activities and engaging strategies to help students remain focused and reduce anxiety around learning.

Communication is Important

Supporting families is an important part of this service. Parents receive regular communication regarding their child’s progress, areas of growth, and next steps. For families enrolled in Signature or Intensive plans, monthly parent meetings are included to touch base, review goals, adjust instruction, and ensure consistent support at home and during tutoring sessions.

Let's talk Options

A range of service packages is available, from consistent weekly intervention to more intensive, high-touch support. Each option is designed to meet students where they are and provide the level of guidance they need to make meaningful progress.

The goal at A to Z Learning is not only to strengthen math skills, but also to help students regain confidence, develop resilience, and feel successful in learning again.

More than Math Support  - A Path to Confidence and Independence

Math struggles are rarely just about numbers. For many students, especially those with ADHD or autism, difficulty with math is rooted in hidden learning gaps, processing challenges, frustration, and lost confidence. My role as a math tutor and interventionist is to identify why math feels hard and create a clear, supportive plan to help students rebuild skills, confidence, and trust in themselves as learners.

I work with students who have tried harder, practiced more, and still feel stuck. Together, we slow learning down, strengthen foundations, and build strategies that actually work for their brain.

Who I support

I specialize in working with:

  • Students with ADHD

  • Students with autism

  • Students with learning differences or uneven skill development

  • Students who feel anxious, overwhelmed, or frustrated by math

  • Students who have fallen behind and lost confidence

My approach is neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based, and deeply individualized. Intelligence is never the issue — access, strategy, and support are.

What I do Differently

1. Identify Hidden Knowledge Gaps

Many students struggle because essential math concepts were never fully understood or connected. I assess foundational skills to uncover the specific gaps that make new learning confusing or overwhelming. Once these gaps are identified, we rebuild them intentionally and systematically.

2. Teach Math in a Way That Makes Sense

Lessons are customized using:

  • Visual models

  • Hands-on strategies

  • Real-world connections

  • Step-by-step scaffolding

This allows students to understand math, not memorize it.

3. Build Confidence Alongside Skills

Confidence grows when students experience success. I create lessons where progress is visible and achievable, helping students replace math avoidance with curiosity and self-belief.

4. Support Emotional Regulation and Focus

Math frustration and distraction are common — and manageable. During sessions, I help students:

  • Recognize frustration early

  • Use calming and refocusing strategies

  • Learn how to manage distraction while working

  • Develop persistence without overwhelm

These skills transfer beyond math and support overall learning success

Parent Communication & Collaboration

Parents are an essential part of the learning team.

All families receive:

  • Regular progress updates

  • Clear communication about skills being targeted

  • Guidance on how to support learning at home

For families enrolled in Signature and Intensive plans, support goes even deeper.

Monthly Parent Meetings

These meetings are designed to ensure alignment and momentum. Together, we:

  • Review student progress

  • Adjust goals and instructional focus

  • Discuss challenges and breakthroughs

  • Coordinate strategies across home, and tutoring

This collaborative approach ensures the student receives consistent, intentional support — not isolated tutoring sessions.
